Outlook Express Email Settings

How to Configure Outlook Express to use Ashley Cyber eMail Servers

I. Ashley Cyber Mail Server Settings:

User Information

  • Your Name: This displays in the “from” field when you send an email.
  • Email Address: username@domain.xxx

Login Information

  • Login Name: Same as email address, username@domain.xxx
  • Password: Provided by your Administrator or the password you just set in WebMail

Server Information

  • Incoming Mail Server: sm01.mail.ashleycyber.com
  • Outgoing Mail Server: sm01.mail.ashleycyber.com

II. Configuring Outlook Express to use Ashley Cyber Mail Servers:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook Express
  2. Open the Internet Accounts window by clicking on Tools and selecting “Accounts…”Outlook Express Email Settings - Add Account
  3. Click on Add then select “Mail…”Outlook Express Email Settings - Add New
  4. Input your name as you want it to be displayed on sent mail.Outlook Express Email Settings - Your Name
  5. Click Next to continue.
  6. Input your email address addressOutlook Express Email Settings - Address
  7. Click Next to continue.
  8. Please enter the following information:Outlook Express Email Settings - Server Info
    Server Information
    1. Incoming Mail Server: mail.domain.xxx
    2. Outgoing Mail Server: mail.domain.xxx

    Also, ensure that “POP3” is selected

  9. Click Next to continue.
  10. Please enter the following information:Outlook Express Email Settings - Credentials
    Logon Information
    1. Account Name: Same as your email address, please verify that your username includes@domain.xxx
    2. Password: Please input your new password provided by your Administrator. Make sure the “Remember Password” box is selected.
  11. Click Next to continue.
  12. Click Finish to continue. Outlook Express Email Settings - Finish
  13. Make sure the account you just added is selected and click PropertiesOutlook Express Email Settings - Properties
  14. Click on the Servers tab.Outlook Express Email Settings - Servers tab
  15. Make sure “My server requires authentication” is checked
  16. Click Ok to continue.
  17. Click Close to finish setting up your email account.Outlook Express Email Settings - Close
